Mr. Lin is the Manager of the Electrical Patent Division with more than 10 years of experiences in practicing intellectual property laws in China. Mr. Lin’s primary technical specialty covers communication, computer, Internet, control, IC, and optical instrument. Mr. Lin primarily focuses his practices around software patent and business method patent in China.

Mr. Lin joined Beijing East IP in 2004, and has been helping many Fortune 500 multinational corporations in managing their patent portfolios in China.  As an attorney-at-law, Mr. Lin also has rich experiences in litigation, including before the Patent Reexamination Board and courts at all levels.

In recent years, Mr. Lin has also been helping domestic startups and large corporations in creating and managing patent portfolios around the world.

Mr. Lin obtained a B.S. degree in Optical Engineering & Photoelectric Instrument from Zhejiang University, and a M.S. Degree in Computer Technology and Application from Institute of Software of Chinese Academy of Science. Mr. Lin also has three years of researching experience in Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
