On June 16 – 17, 2013, Beijing East IP attended the China Intellectual Property Symposium (Xi’An) 2013 hosted by the All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA) and FICPI China. The Symposium increased the communication between Beijing East IP and foreign intellectual property professionals, increased our team’s professionalism in providing high quality services to domestic and foreign clients.
On June 9 – 11, 2013, Beijing East IP organized a team of patent and trademark agents and attorneys to attend the IPBC Global 2013 in Boston. During the conference, the team reconnected with existing clients, and discussed many issues with worldwide intellectual property leaders regarding intellectual property transaction, monetization, new technology development, and other influential topics.
In May 2013, Beijing East IP attended the China International IP Forum 2013 hosted by Managing IP magazine and China Intellectual Property Society. The Forum attracted numerous domestic and international intellectual property managers, professionals, and lawyers to present and discuss “how to operate intellectual property assets globally without losing protection.”
Beijing East IP Ltd. / Beijing East IP Law Firm attended the 2013 INTA Annual Meeting in Dallas, US from May 4 to May 8. Led by our chairman Dr. Lulin Gao, a team consists of our General Manager Dr. Xiaodong Li, Vice General Manger Mr. Dragon Wang, our partner Mr. Jason Wang at trademark department, and other trademark and patent colleagues visited various clients and attended various meetings.

On April 10, 2013, together with commissioner Lipu TIAN, our chairman Dr. GAO, as the very first commissioner for establishing the cooperating relationship between SIPO and the John Marshall Law School at Chicago, was invited to give a speech in 20 Years of Successful Cooperation China-US Seminar on Intellectual Property.
On February 28, 2013, the Trademark Adjudication and Review Board (TRAB) organized and hosted The Forum Regarding Case Acceptance in Trademark Review and Adjudications Process (Forum). The Vice Director of the TRAB, Ms. Jiahua HUANG, presided over the Forum with numerous agencies representatives around the country. During the Forum, the TRAB widely consulted the representatives for opinions regarding the drafts of Methods Regarding Trademark Agencies in Provision of Materials for Trademark Adjudication and Review (Provisional) and Guidance and Suggestions Regarding Trademark Agencies in Provision of Materials and Evidence for Trademark Adjudication and Review (Provisional), and received unanimous consents from the representatives. These two regulations have come into force as of March 1, 2013.
