On April 9, 2013, Beijing East IP Ltd. received a favorable decision from Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Center (ADNDRC) Hong Kong office, which dismissed all the claims in a complaint filed by East IP Inc., an entity domiciled in Cayman Islands, British West Indies.

East IP Inc. asserted that it owns the trademark registration of EAST IP (Registration No.3222268) in China with the registration date of March 7, 2004; alleged that Beijing East IP Ltd. was infringing the trademark EAST IP by registering and using the domain name “beijingeastip.com”; and requested transfer of domain name “beijingeastip.com” to East IP Inc. However, the three experts of ADNDRC panel unanimously hold that the complaint filed by East IP Inc. failed to meet any of three requirements set forth by the UDRP Policy for determining infringement. Among various rulings in favor of Beijing East IP Ltd., the ADNDRC panel affirms that Beijing East IP Ltd. has been using the trade name of EAST IP since 2002, holding that Beijing East IP Ltd. owns trade name right on EAST IP by using trade name EAST IP to provide IP services to multinational clients for more than 10 years.

According to the ADNDRC decision, Beijing East IP Ltd. has the legitimate rights to register and use the domain name “beijingeastip.com”.
